SO.
I immediately started my job at the vet clinic on Monday, and I'm quickly learning the ropes. I clean cages and kennels, get weights, and give vaccinations to the patients. Things have been going relatively smoothly.
My grandmother is going to drive me stark raving mad because she nags constantly. What really irks Larissa and I is that she gets all pissy because we'll have our laptops open while we're watching TV. Apparently she does not like multitasking.
Anyway, near the end of the summer we're moving to Louisiana; my mother got a teaching job over in Lutcher.
Speaking of Louisiana, today Mum, Larissa, and I headed up to the Lucedale fairgrounds and got to meet Jacob and Troy Landry from
Swamp People on the History Channel. Unfortunately, their sponsors wouldn't allow us to take pictures with them. But we got autographs--Larissa had brought along a little pad to draw on while we were in line, and I drew a quick sketch of and alligator and gave it to Troy. He said, "Why, thank you, baby!" in that thick Cajun accent of his. The two of them were some very polite and nice people.

got sunburned, haha. She's fair-complexioned, while most people in my family take sun well--especially me, with the heavy Spanish influence from my sperm donor's side of the family.
I got my video games, and have been playing them off and on during the week. I plan to finally unload all that crap in my car and start drawing again with my tablet.
Yesterday, Larissa and I went to see
The Avengers and we were laughing through the whole movie because of Tumblr. We missed the 7:30 showing, so we bought tickets to the 9:00 showing. To kill time, we walked across the parking lot over to this pet store called Petland.
THEY HAD FERRETS. I LOVE FERRETS. I spent half the time we were there playing with the ferrets. I also held a couple of snakes and played with a few birds--all of the birds were fascinated with my glasses and thought they were a perch. I also petted some adorable bunnies and fuzzy wuzzy little hamsters.
But yeah, I want a ferret.
The movie itself was kick-ass; for all of those who haven't seen it yet, it's a good movie. But like I said before, all the stuff going around on Tumblr had Larissa and I giggling through the entire thing, baffling the rest of the people who didn't get the inside jokes.
............ And that's all I can think of right now to talk about.
